British Travel Insurance Customers could Experience Cheaper Holidays

Foreign exchange specialist HiFX suggests that in the coming days, British Travel Insurance customers could find their holidays less expensive. According to HiFX, pound is likely to become stronger following the announcement of European Central Bank or ECB that sterling was up by 0.36 per cent against the Euro. Currency strategist Marc Cogliatti said that though foreign trips could become less expensive it will not reach the low as it was two years ago. (more…)

Halifax Home Insurance reveals that one in ten homeowners do not have their goods insured in their Home Insurance policy. Most of them do not have their home contents covered or are unaware of the value of the contents. Almost half of the respondents interviewed in the survey have no idea of the value of their belongings and almost three-quarters have never had their valuables assessed by an expert. (more…)

Sainsburys Home Insurance Reduces Home Insurance Premium

Good news for Sainsbury’s home insurance customers as they are offering a 25% off on its home insurance customers as it understands that the cost of running a home has increased in recent years. Sainsbury’s Home Insurance did an individual study and found out that the average cost of mortgage repayments, bills, and household outgoings is around £11,455 a year which is actually 2.6% more than running a house some two years ago. Customers Canceling Life Insurance Due to Recession

Latest figures from the Association of British Insurers or ABI reveal that 13% of the people have decided to scrap their Life Insurance policy in this economic downturn. The ABI says that customers are either ignoring prompts to renew their policies or are canceling them altogether in order to save money in such difficult economic times. Travel Insurance Enquiries Increase This Season

With the approaching summer months, there has been a surge in the travel insurance enquiries according to Confused, an insurance service provider. Compared to last year, the firm has registered a rise of almost 63 per cent the number of people enquiring for travel insurance policies.
