ClaimCheck to Help Firms Validate Home Insurance Claims

A new service started by the Met Office will help all citizens to measure weather-related Home Insurance claims faster and easier. The programme started by the Met Office called ClaimCheck will provide companies with detail information on the exact weather conditions in specific postcodes across the UK at any given time. Earlier insurance firms had to depend upon limited resources for validating weather related home insurance claims by individuals.

The firms would use the resources to assess weather conditions and the damages that can take place. Cathy Durston, head of consulting at the Met Office said that this latest programme ClaimCheck will help fill the gaps in weather reports making sure that insurers have the same information as the weather forecasters.  A faster and efficient service would be provided to customers by the companies using this programme.
