Lloyds Home Insurance Help for Customers

Lloyds TSB, the UK’s largest home insurance company announced that it would waive Home Insurance premiums for six months for new customers who were made redundant. This deal would be given to anyone who would opt for its Home Solutions policy between April 6 and June 6. If you are self employed and stopped trading involuntarily then you too can apply for this deal.

This move comes after a recent meeting among the Association of British Insurers, the Home Office, and leading insurance firms to discuss on ways to support policyholders.

In a recent survey by Lloyds TSB, it was found that 60% of people were concerned about their financial condition while 26% believed their job could be at risk during the next 12 months. It was also found that 75% were reconsidering their annual commitments and cutting down on household bills. Almost 15% have done away with their home insurance policy while 10% are thinking along the same lines in spite of the fact that 65% believe that they are most likely to be robbed because of recession.

Mike Canniffe, retail banking insurance director at Lloyds Banking Group, states that though most relaise the importance of home insurance, till they have cut back on home insurance policies because of severe economic downturn.
